Nicole Paton
Trails and Mountain running
Nicole is a highly accomplished trail and mountain runner with a deep love for exploring rugged terrain and spending long hours immersed in nature. She runs for the enjoyment, the challenge, and the sense of freedom the trails provide.

After the birth of her first child, Nicole returned to racing with remarkable determination, completing the CCC 100 km at UTMB just seven months postpartum — a moment that remains one of her most meaningful achievements. Since then, she has continued to excel on the world stage, earning standout results including 1st Australian female at the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships (2023 and 2025), AUTRA Female Trail Runner of the Year (2024), and multiple wins across Australia’s most iconic ultras such as Bogong to Hotham, Oscars Hut 2 Hut, Kunanyi Mountain Run, and Cradle Mountain Run.

Her coaching focus lies in technical, mountainous trail running, where she blends experience, practical skill and a calm, thoughtful approach. She’s passionate about helping runners build confidence on challenging terrain, develop strong movement patterns, and enjoy the process as much as the outcome.
